Healthy Green Smoothie Recipes
Below you will find delicious and healthy green smoothie recipes that can be made in any high speed blender.
I recommend placing your greens in the blender first with some water (for two cups of greens add 3/4 cup of water) – blend the greens first and then add your fruits and blend again.
I have found that this method ensures that the greens in your smoothie are properly blended.
The preferred high speed large blenders to use are the Vitamix or the Blendec.
The mini blenders that are recommended are the Tribest Personal Blender or The Magic Bullet.
With all of these recipes you can interchange the greens – switch the spinach for kale, the kale for romaine lettuce. I like to buy the packages of mixed organic greens – that way you get a variety of different kinds of greens.
Remember to rotate your greens – don’t always use the same greens – one day use spinach, the next day use kale, the next day use romaine lettuce.  This will avoid the accumulation of alkaloids in your system.
You should buy organic greens and fruit when you can.
I prefer to add one frozen fruit to my green smoothies – usually the bananas.   I cut them up into small chunks and freeze them individually in sandwich baggies.   When I use one banana I put another one in.  I almost always use bananas in my green smoothies – it gives them a nice thick texture.
I like to eat my green smoothies with a spoon and savor each bite.  It’s like eating dessert.
The below healthy green smoothie recipes are for 20 ounce smoothies – you can double or triple the recipe if necessary.

2 cups Kale
3/4 cup water
1 kiwi
1 frozen banana

2 cups Spinach
3/4 cup water

2 cups Romaine Lettuce
3/4 cup water
